Job
Summary:
The Project Manager supports transit rail construction and maintenance projects from point of sale to completion with a primary focus on meeting customer specifications and design requirements, scheduling of material procurement and deliveries, supply chain purchasing and budget management for each project.
Essential Functions:
Corresponds directly with customers and vendors regarding project needs Works closely with Engineering to provide technical support to, sales, customers and vendors Generates subcontractor and/or vendor submittals in compliance with project specifications, including engineering shop drawings, lab test data and reports, installation manuals, project schedule, etc.
Writes detailed supplier purchase orders, coordinates production schedules with vendors and customers, schedules shipments and deliveries and invoices customers Provides accurate monthly financial forecasts for each project and manages project budget in SAP Responsible for multiple projects at any given time at varying stages of completion Coordinate and lead project meetings with customers and vendors including some off-site travel to customer construction and maintenance project sites and vendor production facilities across the U.

Responsible for reviewing and approving customer and supplier contracts and delivering the appropriate amount of risk mitigation.
Establishes a supplier network that can provide high quality products at competitive prices while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
Develop and maintain close working relationships with associated departments (i.
e.
Engineering, Lab, Sales, etc.
) Experience, Education, & License Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or Finance required.
1-3 years experience in a Project Management, Project Coordinator, or Estimating role required.
Experience managing projects from receipt of purchase order to vendor purchasing to final customer invoicing preferred.
Experience generating complete submittal packages in compliance with project specifications, including engineering shop drawings, lab test data and reports, project schedule, etc.

Experience managing various contractor and/or transit agency projects across preferred.
Experience with SAP preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Ideal candidate must be mathematically inclined, spreadsheet savvy, detail-oriented, exceptionally organized and time sensitive.
Must be able to multitask, prioritize and must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Travel up to once or twice a month required.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical aptitude.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
