- Develop, create, and modify custom-designed software for computer applications for clients using Microsoft .Net and SQL Server technologies;
- Analyze clients needs, then design and develop appropriate software solutions to meet client needs on a customized basis; Ensure sound technical design and implementation documentation, including preparation of program specifications, implementation and support documentation and disaster recovery documentation;
- Test and ensure quality in terms of the technical delivery and is accountable for the performance and efficiency of solutions;
- Design each piece of the application and plan how the pieces will work together based on clients requirements and their existing software; Support the architectural design and documentation;
- Ensure that the software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing and coordinate application support activity during the 90-day warranty period, troubleshooting and software fixes;
- Document every aspect of the application or system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades;
- Provides hands-on technical expertise/governance on all aspects of implementation or third-party software integration;
- Collaborate with other computer programmers and software developers to create optimum quality software;
- Works primarily with Lead Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects and/or Vendor partners;
- Utilize various Microsoft technologies such as C#, VB.NET, Microsoft Entity Framework, LINQ, ASP.Net, IIS 7.5, Team Foundation Server, Windows Communication Foundation(WCF), Windows Presentation Foundation(WPF), SQL Server 2005/2008, Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, XML, PL/SQL, Oracle and development environments like Visual Studio 2008/2010;
- Use a variety of Web application development languages such as JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, and Cascading style sheets;
- Use Build and Release management tools like MS Build, Maven scripting, Ant build scripting, continuous integration technologies, and Cruise Control.Net.
Required: Masters in Computer Science or closely related plus 2 years experience in job offered or closely related, or alternatively, a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or closely related plus 5 years progressively responsible experience in job offered or closely related. This position requires only little domestic travel to unanticipated locations in the U.S.
