Manage the development and modification of custom-designed software for computer applications for clients using Java and J2EE technologies;
Manage the work of, coordinate and collaborate with other computer programmers and software developers to create optimum quality software; Work primarily with Lead Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects and/or Vendor partners;
Analyze clients needs, then design and develop appropriate software solutions to meet client needs on a customized basis, along with software development team;
Ensure sound technical design and implementation documentation, including preparation of program specifications, implementation and support documentation and disaster recovery documentation;
Test and ensure quality in terms of the technical delivery and is accountable for the performance and efficiency of solutions;
Design each piece of the application and plan how the pieces will work together based on clients requirements and their existing software; Support the architectural design and documentation;
Ensure that the software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing and coordinate application support activity during the 90-day warranty period, troubleshooting and software fixes; Document every aspect of the application or system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades;
Provide hands-on technical expertise/governance on all aspects of implementation or third-party software integration;
Utilize various Microsoft technologies and development environments; Use a variety of Web application development languages and Build and Release management tools.
Required: Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Engineering or closely related field plus 2 years experience in job offered or as Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or closely related including experience with Java and J2EE or alternatively, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or closely related plus 5 years experience in job offered or as Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or closely related including experience with Java and J2EE. This position requires only little domestic travel to unanticipated locations in the U.S.
